Our approach

We consult with individuals (adults and adolescents), couples, and families. Our practitioners are all highly trained with many years of experience; but above all we value working in a compassionate and collaborative way to promote well being, understanding and positive change.

Our approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), existential and psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness-based strategies, positive psychology approaches, dialectic behavioural therapy (DBT) and systemic family therapy.

Penny Kokot Louw is a registered clinical psychologist with fifteen years’ clinical experience working with people with a broad range of concerns. She is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and holds the HPCA Act Clinical Psychologist Scope of Practice. She is a member of the New Zealand College of Clinical Psychologists.
Penny has training and expertise in a number of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) and systemic family therapy; and has many years’ experience in the clinical supervision of psychologists and other health professionals. She is also able to offer sessions in Afrikaans.

Annie Mordaunt is a registered clinical psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and is also a full member of the New Zealand Psychological Society.

Annie has a broad range of expertise in a number of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), systemic family therapy, psychodynamic and existential therapy.

Annie migrated to Auckland, New Zealand in February 2009, where she has worked in adult and youth community psychiatric clinics as well as in private practice settings.
